About Brandi Hopkins
I’m a senior technical writer and content strategist who builds clear, scalable documentation systems for complex products. My work sits at the intersection of documentation, UX, and systems thinking—helping teams ship content that actually supports how people build and use software.
I’ve worked extensively in cloud and platform environments, where clarity, consistency, and process matter as much as the words themselves.

Tools & methods
I work primarily in docs-as-code and modern content tooling, and I’m comfortable moving between writing, structure, and light automation as needed.
I regularly work with:
- Docs-as-code workflows (Git, GitHub)
- AsciiDoc / Asciidoctor PDF
- Markdown
- HTML and CSS
- JSON and API / SDK fundamentals
- Oxygen XML Editor
- Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Content analytics and search signals
- Lightweight automation and scripting (Python)
- AI-assisted writing, QA, and knowledge discovery
Beyond work
Outside of documentation, I like turning messy systems into something calm and usable. That shows up in a lot of small, everyday ways.
I keep freshwater aquariums and spend an unreasonable amount of time adjusting setups so the fish and plants are actually thriving. I’m also into houseplants, which is really just another slow-moving experiment in patience and care.
When I'm not trying to keep a plant alive, I read a lot — fiction, nonfiction, whatever catches my attention. I also lead book discussions and genuinely enjoy talking about books, themes, and how different people read the same thing. I care a lot about media literacy and how we make sense of what we consume.
